We are getting married in St Mary's Church, Bridgwater and the reception is at Hornsbury Mill, Chard. These are approximately 20 miles (40 minutes drive) apart.
We are assuming that most people will want to stay near to the reception venue.

Accommodation at Hornsbury Mill is reserved for the bridal party.

To Mount Street car parks from the North
Leave the M5 at junction 23 signposted Bridgwater.
At the roundabout, turn right (2nd exit - signposted Bridgwater).
At the next roundabout take the 1st left signposted A38 Bridgwater.
Follow the A38 road for approx 2 miles into Bridgwater
At the roundabout next to Cross Rifles pub, continue straight over.
Continue straight through the next 4 sets of traffic lights and get into the right hand lane after passing Morrisons on your left.
Turn right at the next set of traffic lights (next to Bangla restaurant) onto Penel Orlieu.
Turn left at the mini roundabout and follow the road around a right hand bend: this is Mount Street.
Look out for the Mount Street car parks on your left hand side after approx 100 metres.

To Mount Street car parks from Chard area and the South
From Chard, follow the A358 towards Taunton and the M5. At Taunton, take the M5 North for one junction.
Leave the M5 at junction 24 signposted Bridgwater.
At the roundabout, take the first left and immediately get into the right hand lane.
At the next roundabout turn right (2nd exit signposted A38 Bridgwater).
Follow the A38 into Bridgwater, staying in the left lane as the traffic lights approach.
At the traffic lights, take the 1st left.
Continue straight through the next set of traffic lights with Morrisons on your left and get into the right hand lane.
Turn right at the next set of traffic lights (next to Bangla restaurant) onto Penel Orlieu.
Turn left at the mini roundabout and follow the road around a right hand bend: this is Mount Street.
Look out for the Mount Street car parks on your left hand side after approx 100 metres.


To the church from Mount Street car park (on foot)
Leave the car park and cross Mount Street at pedestrian crossing.
Walk straight ahead into Angel Crescent past hairdressers on left.
At the end, continue straight up through ‘The Avenue’ (covered shopping way).
This will take you into High Street. Cross over at crossing and turn left.
Follow pavement around the corner and the church will be visible on your right. Follow pavement around church yard (bear right into Little St Mary Street) to church gates.

Hornsbury Mill is approximately 21 miles (35 minutes drive) from Bridgwater.

To Hornsbury Mill from Mount Street car parks, Bridgwater
Turn right out of the car park, back on to Mount Street.
At the mini roundabout, turn right and then immediately left at the traffic lights.
Go straight through 1 set of traffic lights (Morrisons on your right) and get into the right hand lane.
Turn right at the next set of traffic lights (onto A38 Taunton Road).
Continue straight ahead through 1 roundabout following signs for the M5.
At next roundabout, take the 2nd exit (M5).
At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit (M5 South, Taunton, Exeter).
Leave the M5 at the next junction: Junction 25, signposted Taunton.
At the roundabout, take the 1st left: A358 Yeovil.
Continue along the A358 for approx 8 miles.
At roundabout, take the 4th exit: A358 Chard.
Continue through the village on Donyatt.
Hornsbury Mill is approx 1.5 miles after leaving Donyatt.
Look out for a brown tourist sign on the right (in slight dip in the road).

If you reach Chard, you have gone too far! Turn around and drive back. Hornsbury Mill is approx 2 miles from Chard and will be on the left side of the road (in slight dip).


To Hornsbury Mill from the M5
Leave the M5 at Junction 25, signposted Taunton.

Continue through the village on Donyatt.
